How to Make Money Online

I was talking to a friend of mine a couple of days ago and what he said made me afraid for his economic future. He was worried that he was about to be laid off from a job he had held for many years. He has a wife and one child who is still living at home. What was he going to do he said if he did get laid off. There are not many employers hiring right now and at his age he didn’t really want to go back to school and be retrained in some new field.

After we finished talking I thanked my lucky stars that I am not in the same boat as my friend. Years ago I started looking for an alternative way to make money. I made the decision to begin to develop a business that I could work in my spare time and create a part time income.

I was looking for a different way to make money. I tried the MLM approach but I didn’t like having to pester my friends and family. Any part time income that required me to go out and solicit sales just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Over the years I continued to search and finally decided that the best way for me to make a part time income that could possibly become a full time income was to make money on the internet, to create an internet home business.

The question was how to make money online? Most of the material I came across talked about selling on auction sites or creating your own products to sell. I tried the auction sites and didn’t make much money. Don’t get me wrong, there are people who make money on the internet this way, it just wasn’t for me.

As far as me creating my own products and selling them from my website no thanks. I’m not the creative type.

The key seemed to be to find products someone else had created and then sell them. Products that someone else had proven could sell. And that someone else would ship and take care of the hassles for me.

What I wanted was a way to make money online. That’s it; I simply wanted an internet home business that I could build over time into a full time income.

What I found was something called affiliate marketing. This is my answer to, How to make money online. Affiliate marketing was exactly what I was looking for. You sell other peoples products. They’ve already proved that the product sells (you can check what sells online). The person who creates the product deals with any shipping and refunds. And, best of all, there’s no face to face selling to the customer. No more would my friends and family turn and run when I approached them with a new product to sell.

I admit, I got lucky and found a program that walked me through the process to make money on the internet. It gave me a step by step approach that I could follow. It outlined every step and exactly how to do it. It even used video and I love to watch videos. Best of all it works!

I’ve used this approach to making money online and created my internet home business. And because of this I’m not in the dire situation my friend is.
